Abstract | The toxicity of 3 insecticides (pirimicarb, deltamethrin and phosalone) and a fungicide (fenpropimorph) to the predators Adalia bipunctata and Episyrphus balteatus and the parasitoid Aphidius rhopalosiphi was investigated during 1995-2001 under laboratory, semi-natural and field conditions in Belgium. Special attention was paid to integrated control in field crops, especially cereals, beans and potatoes. It was shown that accurate prediction of pesticide toxicity to beneficial insects in the field, based on laboratory tests, had considerable limitations. |
